The best way to organise your fundraising is to set up a Just Giving page. This makes fundraising easy for you and for us as all the money, including, gift aid, comes directly and automatically to us. We recommend that you put as much detail on your page as possible and explain about our charity’s aims and how the money your supporters donate will be used. You can find lots of information here on our website and details about what we are currently fundraising for in our news section. If you have a personal link to the unit it is good to share your story and photos on your page.
Sponsorship forms can also be downloaded here and our logos and some photos are available here.
We have a range of First Touch branded items including balloons, collection boxes and posters. We can send you t-shirts for runs and flags for your friends and family to wave as they support. If you are organising a fundraiser we can send you badges, pens, cotton bags and wristbands. We would be delighted to lend you banners but ask that you collect these from us at the nnu.
We can publicise your events through our social media. If you are tweeting about your event tag us @firsttouchnnu and we will share with our 3000+ followers. You can also post on our Facebook page. Local newspapers are often interested in your fundraising stories so why not contact them? Contact details for the local Guardian newspapers can be found here.
If you are organising a fundraiser why not ask your friends to offer their time or skills for an auction of promises e.g babysitting, gardening, cooking, dog walking? You may also find that many local companies are happy to help by provide sponsorship or prizes. Or please contact us if you need any letters of authorisation.
Many employers operate a matched funding scheme supporting their staff’s charitable work with cash donations or time off work to fundraise. Check with your HR department to see if your employer runs a scheme, if so, we can provide the charity details they will need.
