Just before Christmas, The South Family’s Caroline, Ben and Peter came to the nnu to present a cheque for £20,000.
The money will buy 3 milk warmers, partly fund a BabyLeo incubator and pay for new sofas for the Family Room, among other vital things at St George’s Hospital.
Caroline South said, ‘We were delighted to present a cheque for £20,00 to the wonderful team at First Touch on behalf of our son, Benjamin, who is pictured. Ben spent 13 weeks at St. Georges after a very premature birth and received the best care imaginable. The funds we raise go a small way to thank the brilliant team at St. Georges and will undoubtedly benefit premature babies in the future and help their families through a very difficult and emotional period in their lives. The funds were raised as part of Peter’s Captaincy this year at Wentworth Golf Club.’
Ben is a neonatal graduate from 1999, and the South family have been supporting our charity ever since. He now works in film production in Los Angeles, USA.
